[NEWS] Kangin to rejoin Super Junior after 3 years + SME’s follow up statement






Kangin will finally return to Super Junior after 3 years.

On April 16th, after completing his military service, Kangin will be discharged and is scheduled to rejoin his fellow Super Junior members.

It is believed that SM Entertainment has already confirmed Kangin’s return and has begun preparations. Fans predict that a new album will be released by Super Junior, joined by Kangin, in the first half of the year.

In September and October of 2009, Kangin withdrew from team activities due to a scandal. After a time of self-reflection, Kangin joined the army in July of the following year. During the time of his absence, Super Junior released their 4th and 5th albums, ‘Bonamana‘ and ’Mr. Simple‘, and also proceeded on a world tour. Some could say they matured enough to make Kangin’s absence almost unnoticeable, however, the members never forgot about Kangin despite their success. Furthermore, Super Junior is said to be determination to excel even further with the rejoining of Kangin.

One associate commented, “The members’ friendship is even deeper now” and “whenever Kangin came out during breaks and spent time with the other members, they let out all of their emotions and solved any misunderstandings.”

Kangin’s return to the group was predicted before. Kangin commented during an interview while leaving the army training center: “I was able to endure everything because of everyone waiting for me” and “Instead of the weak and immature me before, I want to grow into a more mature and adult-like figure that is actually worthy of the love.”

The members also displayed their affection for Kangin. Leeteuk appeared on an episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘ that aired on September 23rd of 2010 and said, “During the time of the incident, I did feel betrayed, but after time passed, I realized that the only people that can truly care for Kangin and comfort him during this hard time are the members.”

Super Junior members even made a hologram of Kangin appear during their ‘Super Show 3‘ concert in August of 2010, further showing that his absence was greatly missed. On April 16th, the day of his discharge, the members are planning on going to the site and congratulating him.

Super Junior is currently in the midst of their ‘Super Show 4‘ world tour with plans for a release of a new album in the first half of this year.


SM Entertainment, “there hasn’t been anything confirmed regarding Kangin’s comeback”







With Super Junior‘s Kangin scheduled for discharge from the army on April 16th, the media reported earlier that he was already preparing for his comeback with the group as soon as possible.

SM Entertainment has followed up with a vague statement to OSEN, expressing, “Kangin is being discharged on the 16th, but there hasn’t been anything confirmed regarding his comeback.”

They continued, “We’re not sure whether the Super Junior members will be able to be at the scene of his discharge. This weekend, they have a ‘Super Show 4‘ concert and have a busy schedule, so it’s up in the air as to whether they will be able to make time for it.”

However, other sources are reporting that when they previously spoke to representatives from SM Entertainment earlier, they had stated, “Kangin is a member of Super Junior, so his return is an obvious one… He will be promoting as a member of Super Junior.”

Super Junior’s Choi Si-won gets novel birthday gift

Super Junior’s Choi Si-won celebrated his 26th birthday on Saturday with greetings from world-renowned Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho.

Coelho, known for his books such as “The Alchemist” (1988) and “Veronica Decides to Die” (1998), sent the message to Choi via Twitter.

“Happy Birthday! Be always a warrior of light,” Coelho wrote. “When in Europe, pls let me know. BTW your fans are also warriors, they really want to see you happy! Congrats.”

Choi, who has also had roles in dramas and movies, replied that he is a “huge fan” of the 64-year-old novelist and lyricist: “Im in paris now. leave tomorrow to shenzhen in china they are all family and everything. I really want to meet you next time. I wish you continued health&happiness. If we meet later I hope you will sign my book. Thank you again for the birthday wishes .”

Choi and Super Junior were in Paris for their concert “Super Show 4 in Paris” on Friday.

Girls’ Generation member Tiffany sings “Because It’s You” for ‘Love Rain’ OST

Girls’ Generation member Tiffany has lent her voice for “Because It’s You“, the third digital single to KBS‘s ‘Love Rain‘ OST.

The foundation for this new track was created with the melody of Jang Geun Suk‘s “Love Rain“, but written and sang with much more desperation and emotion. The tracks may contain the same contents, but they have a completely different feel. One is light and bubbly, while the other is slower and more heartbreaking.

“When I Can’t Sing” singer Se7en looks like a energetic, playful boy

Se7en recently traced back to his look of the days when he just made a debut at his early twenties.

On April 5, Magazine 1st Look released a pictorial of Se7en through its paper magazine, online, and mobile sites.

In the pictures, Se7en strikes a variety of energetic, playful poses.

The singer says, “I feel proud of myself and the achievement I made for the past ten years as a solo singer, who has to be ready for singing and dancing all alone. In the future, I hope to run my own entertainment agency and produce idol stars.”

Slated to release a single in April, the singer says, “When entering overseas market, I’d appreciated the interaction with local fans rather than pursuing a mere success. I want to display my songs and performances to as many people as possible. For now, I’ll be active in Japan and go on an Asia tour.”

Having started his own business, Se7en said he is happy with running business in that he got involved in things figure them out in person, adding “I can more understand Mr. Yang since I’ve become an owner.”

Being called Director Choi, the singer seems to be an influential figure at his company, YG Entertainment. He is reportedly asked to give his opinion to the meeting of the board of the company.

Reaching the age of 29, Se7en said, “I’m not much different from I was at 20. I get mature but remain innocent.

Seulong tells freshly shaved G.O. to grow out his hair

2AM‘s Seulong made fun of MBLAQ‘s G.O. who recently shaved his face, exposing a neater face and image.

Earlier today, G.O. tweeted, “Worked with Mir all night today again. I can see we’re almost there! The picture is from a couple days ago,” along with the above picture. The picture shows G.O., who usually sports a mustache, with a hairless face and clear skin.

Upon seeing the tweet, Seulong humorously responded, “Grow your hair out.”

Fans had mixed responses to G.O.’s new look, “Still handsome even without the mustache,” “Now that there’s no hair, he’s got a baby face,” and “It’s war if you shave.”

Following the news that Core Contents Media would be announcing T-ara‘s new changes on April 6th, more details have surfaced from sources within the agency.

According to Review Star, a representative of Core Contents Media told them over the phone, “It’s true that T-ara will become a nine member group. Two members will be added, and we will reveal the details on April 6th.”

With the addition of two members, the current seven member group will become a nine member group. The only other nine member group at the moment is Girls’ Generation, and has thus, caused many questions to surface about whether this change is to further compete against Girls’ Generation.

There is also speculation that the two member addition was decided on after seeing the group’s potential in the Japanese market, and in hopes to further increase their reputation.

Earlier on March 14th, CEO Kim Kwang Soo had stated, “In April, there are big potential member changes for T-ara.” Having talked about taking out members within the group, many had wondered just what kind of change would be taking place. With his elaboration on the issue of removing members, fans and industry officials were surprised to hear that the member changes would not consist of swapping out original members, but instead adding new members.

The source within the agency also revealed, “The new member(s) that will be added are trainees within the agency. There was a previous speculation that they would join Co-Ed, but that’s not true.”

Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk release first Japanese single

Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhuk are hot in Japan.

Donghae and Eunhyuk released their first single Oppa, Oppa on April 4 in Japan and ranked second on the Oricon daily chart.

The two stars will hold a mini live event on April 11 at Shibuya AX Hall in Tokyo to celebrated the release of their single. Since they plan to meet their fans closely, the event is expected to received an explosive response.

Super Junior recently showed off their power in ticket sales by selling out all the seats for their concert, which will be held in May at the Tokyo Dome.

The single album, composed of CD and CD+DVD tracks, includes the Japanese version of “Oppa, Oppa,” which was released in December of last year in Korea. The Japanese version of the song Donghae wrote on his own, “First Love” was also included in the album and the DVD includes a new music video for the Japanese fans.

Rookie Girl Group EXID: "JYP Is One Reason We Must Succeed"

Not long since their debut, rookie girl group EXID has been under the spotlight lately.

EXID has already been gaining interest for being the first girl group of famous producer, Shinsadong Tiger. The genius behind such hits as T-ara's "Lovey Dovey," B2ST's "Fiction," and 4minute's "Mirror Mirror," he is known as the "hit maker" in the music industry.

Adding to their recognition is the fact that four out of their six members were former trainees for JYP Entertainment. Yooji, Junghwa, Haeryung, and Hani were all once JYP trainees before debut.

Yooji was part of the "Age 20 Big Mama" group among the trainees, along with Sistar's Hyorin and Secret's Ji Eun. Eventually dropped by JYPE, a star’s gateway to success, it can be said that the road to their debut was a hard one.

The other members, Dami and LE, faced the same kind of hardships as the others. After failing to be signed with a company, Dami almost gave up on her dreams of becoming a singer. Before her debut, LE was an underground rapper of Hongdae, and also underwent the long training process.

At a young age, each member of EXID went through their own hardships and obstacles. It could be said that their difficult times before debut has actually made them stronger. From now on, all that can be expected is their advancement in the music industry.

EXID (pronounced E-X-I-D) stands for the meaning “Exceed in Dreaming.” As their name suggests, we hope that the group will achieve their dream of standing out in the music world.

U-KISS’s new single & album reaches #2 and #6 on the Oricon!

U-KISS seems to be on a roll in Japan as they have once again ranked in the top on the Oricon Chart.

Ranking on Oricon is nothing new for the boys as their Japanese debut single, “Tick Tack”, (released in December, 2011) has ranked as high as #3 on the Oricon Daily Single Chart and #5 on the Weekly Chart.

With the release of their first official album ‘A Shared Dream’, the boys ranked #6 on the Daily Album Chart, and their single “Forbidden Love” ranked #9 on the Daily Single Chart. As of the today, the boys have gone up in rank as their album and single have ranked #2 and #6, respectively!







The boys held a special event to commemorate the release of the single and album by performing in front of a crowd of 2,000 fans on the day of release, and will be embarking on their ‘U-KISS First Japan Live Tour 2012′.

On March 1, Super Junior’s Shindong shared a humorous video of fellow member Leeteuk on his Twitter. Titled “Leeteuk missile,” the short but funny clip has amused fans. In the video, Leeteuk runs into a room and shrieks as a random missile hits him and blows him to smithereens. With his creative CG skills, Shindong made the video more realistic by adding flames and debris to Leeteuk’s perfectly timed reaction. In response, Leeteuk tweeted, "Director Shin, please let me work with you on your next project." He followed that post with "2012's Greatest and Most Talked about Production!! Megaton spectacle blockbuster - 'The Missile.'"

TEEN TOP to put on special goodbye performances with “Girl Friend” and “Going Crazy” remix

Idol group TEEN TOP is preparing for their last performance of “Going Crazy“.

The boys who returned to the music scene with their second mini-album in January will be putting on their final performance of “Going Crazy” on March 4th.

The boys have achieved a lot in the past promotion, ranking in the top of the charts, and achieving wins on music programs.

As a way of thanking the fans for their continuous love and support, the boys will be performing two of their most popular songs on the album.

On March 3rd’s MBC‘s ‘Music Core’, the boys will perform “Girl Friend“, and follow with a remixed version of “Going Crazy” on March 4th’s SBS’ ‘Inkigayo’.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk has shared a photo of his new pair of shoes! On February 23rd, he uploaded the above photo and tweeted, “Oh my~^^feiyue~ So nice, I feel like it’s going to be a huge hit. Jae young, Jae hyuk hyung, fighting!!! These shoes flew in from France^^”.

In the photo, Leeteuk is standing in an empty gym while wearing a white jacket and holding his new pair of shoes. Although he has a slight smile on his face, it looks as if Leeteuk was extremely tired at the time he took the photo as his dark eye bags can be seen clearly in the photo.

Since no one is watching, I say he should just take a nice long nap on one of those equipments behind him.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun responds coldly to Lou Yixiao’s charming action

in the episode of MBC TV’s We Got Married that aired on February 25, Kyuhyun virtually married with Chinese actress Lou Yixiao. This episode was filmed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and China.

In the episode, Kyuhyun was nervous to see Lou Yixiao at first, but soon teased her, showing a cold look when she acted charming in front of him. They seemed sweet together at first, decorating their new house; however, they met a difficult problem as the bedspread and blanket that Lou Yixiao bought were too small for their bed.

Kyuhyun asked, “Why did you buy these small ones?” and Lou Yixiao said, “I don’t know,” shaking her shoulders to act charming. Kyuhyun smiled at first but soon got laughs by suddenly changing his look cold-heartedly and saying, “What are you doing?”

Also, when Lou Yixiao said her favorite Korean celebrities were Lee Min Ho and Rain, Kyuhyun made a depressed look for a moment.
